Compiling a study module | Open university

You can request the compilation of a study module when:

you have completed all the courses it includes
the courses have been entered into the University of Helsinki’s student information system
you intend to, for example, apply to study at another university/higher education institution.

After compilation, the study module will appear as its own completed unit in the University of Helsinki’s student information system Sisu as well as in the My Studyinfo service. Please note that once a study module has been compiled, it can no longer be dismantled back into individual course completions.

The processing time for a study module compilation request is up to four weeks. During holiday periods, the processing time may be longer. You will receive a notification by email once the study module has been compiled.

All requests are recorded. We will contact you if we need you to submit a new compilation request.

By submitting the application, you consent to the University of Helsinki processing your personal data in connection with this application for appropriate purposes. Only request the compilation of a study module once all course components included in the module have been recorded in Sisu.

Please also note that:

a compiled study module cannot be taken apart afterwards.
a study module may include courses that have been completed within a ten-year period of each other.

You may only request the compilation of your own studies.

Name and credit value of the study module (e.g. Communication 25 ECTS credits)

Courses to be included in the study module. Please indicate the course name and code (e.g. EDUK214, Brain and Learning).

Date of the last completed course

If your study module needs to be compiled urgently, please indicate this here. State the date by which your study module must be completed.

You can raise the grade of a course included in a compiled study module. However, this will not affect the overall grade of the compiled module. This is to say that the grading for a study module will not be changed due to a raised course grade, and the incorporation of courses into a module cannot be cancelled.
